Renee's penchant for conversation, problem solving, and rolled-up-sleeves makes her an awesome producer of everything from 7-layer dip to new plays.
Before joining the play-making team at the Realm, Renee was Managing Director at Naked Angels where she produced the world premiere of Zayd Dohrn’s
Outside People and supported the development of over 25 new plays. She has also served as The Civilians' Associate Producer (developing
In The Footprint), The TEAM's Producing Director (producing
Architecting and developing
Mission Drift), and Ensemble Studio Theatre’s Season Producer
. If you’re sensing a theme, you’re right: Renee is proud to have worked with many of NYC's small but fierce theatre companies and loves creating new plays with talented, emerging collaborators!
Additionally, Renee has served as the General Manager of Two River Theater Company in New Jersey and the General Manager of Red Bull Theater Company (producing
The Maids and
The Witch of Edmonton and developing
Aeneid and
Margaret: A Tyger’s Heart). Renee has a BFA in Directing from Carnegie-Mellon University and an MFA in Producing and Theatre Management from Columbia University, but she is most proud of her weekend skills on the barbeque grill.
