Gonzalo Rodriguez Risco

Gonzalo Rodríguez Risco is a playwright, screenwriter and translator from Peru. His most recent works include a revival of his 1996 play Un Verso Pasajero, a staging of his new play Hoy Prometo no Mentir and a long run of his first musical Carmín, El Musical. His play Dramatis Personae was produced Off-Broadway at the Cherry Lane Theatre in New York, in 2010. He is a graduate of the Yale School of Drama (MFA in Playwriting, 2009). His plays in English include Lies we tell Ourselves, The French Play, Dramatis Personae, Father/Son, Journey to Santiago, Gay Play, Threesome, Expiration and The End of Vaudeville. He also wrote the short radio play Taxi Scene, broadcast by the BBC World Service in 2003.
