Gonzalo Rodríguez Risco is a playwright, screenwriter and translator from Peru. His most recent works include a revival of his 1996 play Un Verso Pasajero, a staging of his new play Hoy Prometo no Mentir and a long run of his first musical Carmín, El Musical. His play Dramatis Personae was produced Off-Broadway at the Cherry Lane Theatre in New York, in 2010. He is a graduate of the Yale School of Drama (MFA in Playwriting, 2009). His plays in English include Lies we tell Ourselves, The French Play, Dramatis Personae, Father/Son, Journey to Santiago, Gay Play, Threesome, Expiration and The End of Vaudeville. He also wrote the short radio play Taxi Scene, broadcast by the BBC World Service in 2003. Plays in Spanish: Un Verso Pasajero, La Manzana Prohibida, Juegos de Manos, Generación Y, Rainbow, Mal Criadas (written with Diego La Hoz), Asunto de Tres, El Musical, TV-Terapia, Pensión, Servicio Íntimo Exclusivo para Damas, Dramatis Personae, Padre/Hija, Carmín El Musical, El Fin del Vaudeville, Cuarenta and Hoy Prometo No Mentir.
